    取得三叠纪龙鱼类系列研究成果,近年来专于青藏高原新生代古鱼类研究,发现高原首例攀鲈化石。作为主要编者之一参与《青藏高原江河湖源新生代古生物考察研究》编著工作。2009年以来,曾十数次进入西藏高海拔地区科考,多次领队在高原各地考察。精于古生物科学插图手绘。
